We started in our group with a draw agist Somerset club Yatton RFC, one try each.Tom rey opened his account for Whitstable but we were a bit dozey. We then played Bletchley from Buckinghamshire who had a big pack of forwards and not much else. In particular hey did not fancy tackling our guys ad we scored 3 trys to one.Tom Howland , james garland and a great effort from Kane Philpott. We then had our come uppance when we met the might of "Bath RFC" with several county standard players. We gave them a soft try, allowed the to get round our wingers twice more and turned around 0-15 at half time. We conceeded one more try to a very skilled and well driled team but elt we could have done better and did not make them work hard enough for their scores.

Finaly we met another big team from Cheshunt RFC. A similar style team to ours we won the first half with a try by Tom Grey but allowed them a try in the second half for another draw. A dissapointing finish as we could have taken second place in the group. Read on for our big come back on day two...
